FULFILL YOUR VOW TO GOD

Ecclesiastes 5:4 "When you make a vow to God, do not delay in fulfilling it. He has no pleasure in fools; fulfill your vow."

Most of us do not recognize the solemnity that spheres around in making a vow. We incline to think that it is just an ordinary thing so we ignore the value. But the word of God says “It is better not to vow than to make a vow and not fulfill.” Making a vow is a serious matter. Why should God be angry at what you say and destroy the work of your hands? King Solomon warned his readers about making foolish promises to God. Although voluntarily but, once made were unbreakable. Deuteronomy chapter 23 verse 21, “If you make a vow to the Lord your God, do not be slow to pay it, for the Lord your God will certainly demand it of you and you will be guilty of sin." What else? "Above all, my brothers, do not swear-not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. Let your “Yes” be yes, your “No" no, or you will be condemned, James 5:12.
