SELF-DENIAL

"Self-denial"

Luke 9:23 "Then He said to them: "if anyone would come after me, he must deny himself and take up his cross daily and follow me."

-This is the very word of the Lord Jesus Christ to His disciples when He was still with them. A very vital requirement in following  Christ. Without self-denial, no one is worthy to be His. Furthermore, He also told them to take up their cross daily and follow Him. Such a strong and clear statement that only those who are committed and totally surrendered are willing to take.
