HOW MUCH YOU VALUE YOUR COMMITMENT?

VALUING COMMITMENT

2 Chronicles 16:9 “For the eyes of the Lord range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are committed to Him.”/image taken during the fbcfi-uae convention 11-29-19/

God values commitment and He is looking for people who are willing to accept the task He wants to accomplish. However, many people hesitate to commit to the work of God because of indecisiveness, having other plans or afraid of responsibilities. In chapters 14 to 16 of the same book, we find the story of King Asa and his people who offered themselves to serve God. Their devotion led to victories and peace for the nation as God delivered them from their enemies. Sure enough, God remembered their wholehearted commitment.

Commitment is one of the fundamental requirements of serving God. It is necessary to carry out God-given tasks. It is difficult to perform a certain assignment without dedication. Our commitment to serving the Lord requires self-denial, obedience, sacrifice, wealth, time, energy or absolutely everything. Believers who are devoted to their service to God know their obligations and responsibilities and are willing to carry it out. Knowing their priorities and need not be reminded of their duty. However, they still find joy in what they do even when things get difficult.

In all aspects of our lives, commitment is also required and applied. For example, successful individuals and entrepreneurs don’t just sit down on a corner to gain income, but they invest time, effort, and their own lives in pursuit of their goals. Their investment is accompanied by their commitment to finding ways on how to advance their businesses. In like manner, it is also mandatory to serve the Lord faithfully at whatever costs. Serving God will be much rewarding if we diligently commit to wholeheartedly performing our given responsibilities.
